Information gathered from the current NINBooking website. Confirm changing requirements and fees with the team before your appointment.

Why do I need a NIN?

The current website says Nigerian citizens, whether resident in Nigeria or overseas, are required by Nigerian law to enrol by providing identity data to NIMC. For the current legal requirements, check with NIMC.

What forms of identification should I bring?

The current site lists a Nigerian International Passport and/or Birth Certificate. For a child without a Nigerian passport, it says the parent or guardian’s Nigerian passport and the child’s Birth Certificate may be used. The site also states that a digital NPC certificate is required for NIN registration. Confirm the latest requirements before attending.

Who issues the NIN?

NIMC issues and activates the NIN after receiving enrolment data. For issues with an issued NIN, the current website directs applicants to nimcdiaspora@nimc.gov.ng.

How long does enrolment take?

The current website advises allowing about 15 minutes per person for enrolment and biometric capture. Allow extra time for check-in and any centre-specific requirements.

How much does the service cost?

Fees are shown through the location’s appointment booking process. Confirm the current price before booking.

Can I change or cancel my appointment?

The current website says an appointment can be changed before attendance for a fee of AUD $125 per person, and that cancellations are not allowed. Please confirm the current terms with support before making a booking.

What if I miss my appointment?

The current website says a missed appointment must be rebooked with support and that a fee of AUD $125 per person applies. Contact support to confirm current terms.

Can I book for more than one person?

The current website says each person needs a separate appointment and payment.

Can I book for a child under 16?

The current website says the child’s parent or guardian must have a NIN and provide it during the child’s enrolment. Contact the selected centre to confirm the complete document checklist.

Is BVN enrolment available at every centre?
